When we were in Estes, you talked about shooting with intention, and that idea really stuck with me. I want to be more intentional with my photography, ensuring that my work truly represents the places I visit. I try to capture both grand landscapes and smaller, more intimate scenes, but lately, I’ve found myself focusing more on the smaller details. While I enjoy that, I also want more variety in my work.

One of my goals is to create cohesive collections of images/portfolios. I’ve attempted this on my website, but as usual, I’m behind on editing. I’d also love to put together eBooks—even if just for myself and my family—where I document each place I photograph, including my thoughts, experiences, and what I’ve learned about the local landscape, plants, and wildlife. I want these collections to be comprehensive and meaningful.

Right now, I tend to edit each image individually rather than as part of a set, which might be affecting the overall cohesiveness of my work. Moving forward, I want to be more mindful of how my images fit together as a collection, rather than just as standalone pieces.

Lastly, I really need to figure out my marketing, because honestly, it sucks! I’d love to find a way to monetize my photography and turn it into something more sustainable. In whatever shape or form that might be, I know there’s potential, but I just need a solid plan to make it happen.
