Martha is a nature and landscape photographer born and raised in Mexico City and now based in Colorado.

Her fascination with photography began at an early age, and as an adult, it became a way to share the beauty and wonder of the natural world. With a background in art and graphic design, her passion for photography deepened during a formative black and white film course, where she learned to develop her own images and discovered the creative process behind the lens.

Photography continues to fuel her love of the outdoors, her sense of adventure, and her desire to connect with both people and with the natural world. Through her work, she hopes to inspire people to appreciate, conserve, and protect our planet.

Martha is the Co-Founder of Outdoor Photo Alliance and Horizons Photography, both created with the vision of empowering connection, learning, and growth within the outdoor photography community.

Statement

My photography is as much about documenting a place as it is about translating the emotional atmosphere it evokes. I aim to blend both in a way that allows me to create images that offer a sense of pause in a world of constant movement.

Allowing myself room to experiment and play in my photography enables me to grow and evolve without the weight of expectations.

My work is not only an expression of the beauty and stillness but also a quiet call to action. I hope my images inspire a sense of wonder and reflection, while also encouraging a deeper awareness, respect and the need to protect the wild places we all cherish.

I have had a few mentors in my photography journey who have been especially helpful in showing me the ropes and helping me grow. Mentorship is extremely valuable and has helped me tremendously.
